What an amazing game to watch! Momentum has totally switched to the Cards. What a crushing loss for Texas, to be down to the last strike twice in the same game yet lose. Loyal fans who chose to stay till the final out when all looked hopeless got what had to be the best baseball moment of their lives (that is unless you happen to be from North Texas...) Hope the Rangers can still pull it off, but that kind of loss is hard to recover from.

Agree with Kurumazaka. The game was a real emotional roller coaster. TBH, I am not of a fan of either team, but I still hope that Texas can bounce back and win its first-ever WS.

Nor am I Godan, but as a Yanks/Suns/AzCards fan, I can understand both sides (Yanks 2003 v. Sox, the Choke of 2004; Suns losing to Bulls in 93 in a game they absolutely should have won, followed by chokes v. Houston the next two years; the Cards snatching defeat from the jaws of victory v. Steelers and finally that damn pass interference penalty that cost ASU the national title in 96)

National League all the way, teach those lazy AL batters what a real player does. Go Cards!

Now that's the way to end a WS game - extra innings! Never before has there been 3 blown saves by a team in a single WS game.

kurumazaka, I root for the Bears, Bulls, Cubs, Blackhawks, and FIGHTING ILLINI, so I sorta know what you're going through. I may never see the Cubs do it, although the hiring of Theo Epstein certainly makes the future brighter, but we are still going on 104 years of no championship, just to see our hated rivals, the Cardinals possibly close it out tonight. It was an exciting game past night. The errors were too many to call it a great game.

Agree with Toguro's point about the errors. The game was quite poorly played and as exciting as it was, it was surely a frustrating game to watch for anyone who likes baseball.
@Kurumazaka and Toguro - Try being a Jazz fan and watching back-to-back years of losing to MJ and the Bulls. Was heartbreaking especially keeping in mind that the Jazz may never have another tandem the likes of Stockton and Malone and a coach as good as Jerry Sloan was. Still gonna root for the Rangers/underdog.

Holeeee Effff, what a crazy game! Some incredibly poor defense, decent pitching undone by errors and great hitting. And some lousy pitching, too. i am not a fan of either team, but would like to see Texas win. Once. So, who benefited from the extra day off?
Bring on game 7!!

Togoro, if it makes you feel any better, I would have far preferred to lose to the Cubs than the Marlins in 2003. Honestly, the only time one of my AZ teams hasn't choked was against, yup, the Yanks in 2001....(though the Dbacks really deserved that one, were clearly the better team in that series)

Manager Ron Washington made critical error by taking out relief pitcher Feldman with two outs in the top of the 11th inning for pinch hitter German. I would've let Feldman bat. Feldman could've gone another two innings. They brought in inexperience pitcher Lowe who threw the fat fastball down the middle and lost the game.
