OSAKA —
Takashi Inui scored four times as Cerezo Osaka thrashed Thespa Kusatsu 5-0 to earn promotion to the first division on Sunday. Cerezo improved to 101 points at the top of the table while Vegalta Sendai will also be joining them in the top flight next season after a 4-0 win away to Mito Hollyhock.
Sendai (99) are eight points clear of third-placed Shonan Bellmare and Ventforet Kofu with three games of the season remaining and are guaranteed a top-three finish as Shonan and Kofu meet in the next round of matches. Kofu was beaten 2-1 at Avispa Fukuoka while Shonan drew 2-2 at home to Tokyo Verdy.

Last Osaka derby I saw was about 3 years ago. Nagai stadium was half full and the final score was about 6-2 so it wasn't too much to get excited about. Good to see Cerezo back where they belong though.

Good for Cerezo and Sendai! As for the third team, I'd like it to be Shonan who have more top flight history.

ratpack, I think they are bastardisations of Italian words that make no sense to anybody in any language. Another pearler is Montedio Yamagata.
