Heres hoping for another Giants loss tonight.

I`m also looking forward to Uehara pitching in the major leagues next season.

If the Giants start, oh, let`s say 2-8 through the first ten games, who will get the blame? Will it be apportioned fairly? Or will it be thrust on Hara-kantoku and and the foreign players?

Tsuneo Watanabe looked like he was going to blow his top after the game last night.

Hope they make it 0-5 tonight - are they facing Kawakami?

I'm going to Giants-Tigers game on Friday...if they can keep up their losing streak it should be a good spectacle!

I might get tickets for this weekend now. Would be great if Hanshin were 6-0 and Yomiuri 0-6. Hanshin are looking good. Like I said a long time ago, Uehara should go to the Major Leagues. Or play for Hanshin.

Who cares about Major Leagues. If you want to talk about Major League go to MLB.com.

This trend is becoming the norm. In the off season Yomiuri buys the various so-called power hitters from various teams and on paper they do look good but when the season starts its a complete different matter.

It still is very early in the season and despite me not having any respect for Yomiuri or Hanshin for that matter and MLB and even less American nationalists I still think Yomiuri will end up first in the CL this year if not then Chunichi.

In the PL I am going Chiba Lotte all the way baby but Soft Bank is looking good and Orix with its share of good players although slightly old in the line up is fun to watch.

    outhousejt,

Who is the American nationalist on this discussion ? We are discussing Hanshin, Yomiuri and Uehara. And whether you like it or not, there are 9 quite decent Japanese pros in the Major Leagues this season. Didn't you see Fukudome's game-tying 3 run homer in the 9th for the Cubs yesterday ? Against Gagne too.

    Hi northlondon

I can not say who the American nationalist is but the nationalists know who I am talking about. We know that it is not you. Thats very aparent and not me.

Fukudome was sweet. Pure baseball magic. Instead of enjoying great baseball have you seen that thread? Nothing but Japan bashing. It gets boring.

Uehara. I am hoping to see his ERA fly high up in the ozon layer. Thats all I have to say about that.

    ohjt,

I just joined that debate too.

I'm following the Cubs this season, and I'm a Tigers fan.

Ill be keeping an eye on MLB and be supporting Yakult and Lotte. The best of luck to you. May the best team win.

I'll never forget the headline in the sports shinbun quoting the old fart owner of the Gomiuri Giants the day after they declined to offer Nori to a contract:

    "kinpatsu iranai"

I'm so happy it was him who blasted the winning homer last night.

jammer: Its funny that they didnt want Nakamura and his bleached hair but they paid out the wahoo for Marc Kroon and his cornrows and ridiculous sideways cap.

Did not Watanabe get fired from his post allegedly after a corruption scandal? Before the scandla Watanabe was just this rotten arrogant man then he calmed down a bit after the scandal as he no longer could be the chairman of the team. Watanabe is just one rotten old man. He is notroious for his racist remarks towards foreigners. The guy is a yakuza.

When Nori was leaving Kintetsu Watanabe was running Yomiuri and Watanabe has a policy of no facial hair, long hair, piercing etc but I think they have loosened up a bit as I remember Kiyohara used to have piercing which was unheard of for the Giants. Kiyohara. Another Yakuza btw.

5 in a row. Time to cherrish this with a glass of Nikka.
