Glad that he is finally off of the Tigers. He blew way too many saves in big games to be forgiven.

Well, I'm afraid I think you'll see even more blown saves this season from Hanshin.

Best of luck to him and his 'fireball'. I'm sad to see him go, it was always a treat to see him sweating out saves in the heat of summer.

Chicago Cubs... the famously cursed team of American sports that can not win no matter what they do. I dont know why a Japanese owner does not buy a team like the Seattle Mariners and fill the roster with good Japanese players. Fukikawa is happy to get out of Japan I bet you .. now he can be yelled at in English, eat good steaks every night, plenty of cornfed midwestern girls in the Chicago Rush street bars, get a nice big house with a view of the lake... lets see what else.. travel around America what a great country, go to Miami nightclubs, play in NY and LA .. he will not come back to Japan once he has had this life.

Ms are already owned by nintendo...and there are not nearly enough Japanese players with the ability to fill out a roster that would be competitive in MLB.
