I haven't watched the match yet, but anyone have any ideas how to beat Djokovic? The only thing I can think of is to be more patient, make fewer mistakes, while taking any rare opportunities he might up. If he can be frustrated, that may be the key.

He's a tough nut to crack (if not impossible in 2016), but good show Nishikori making the final after the QF in Indian Wells.

Not an unexpected result, even if disappointing for Nishikori fans. I know more than a few people who woke up at 2:00 a.m. to watch it, and I've no doubt some are regretting it this morning. Hopefully not, though, because Nishikori did well to get this far, and there's no shame in losing the Djokovic -- the man is just far superior and cannot be beaten at the moment. Even if Nishikori hadn't made the mistakes he did, he wouldn't have won, because Djokovic is dominating.

Anyway, huge moment for Djokovic, as he has tied some serious records, and beaten others. Well done to both of them.

Nole took the young man to school. Otsukaresama, Kei-san. An interesting side about the flock of pelicans. The ESPN announcer (Chris Fowler) mentioned the 15 or so pelicans flying over the arena. His partner (Brad Gilbert) said they weren't pelicans at all. They were buzzards waiting for Nishikori ! I 'bout split a gut laughing at that one !

How to beat the Djoker.... The upcoming clay court season should help a little. Still need a high quality serve and touch to open up the court on clay. Most importantly is getting up 1 set to love and not trying to trade predictable back court groundies. Nothing against Nishikori but he pretty much sticks to his agressive one pattern style. Perhaps some of those tricky French dudes on clay can give the Djoker some trouble. Or a total unpredictable dude like Kyrious. If Djokovic and keep is foot out of his mouth and with Roland Garros then he will be the best of all time. Notice there are a lot of tennis fans on this site with little knowledge.. Hope that changes.

As the debate is going around how the Golden State Warriors would fare against the 1990s Bulls in the NBA. Question I have for you is how do you think Djokovic would do if he was playing in the early 1990s when Agassi was at his peak? I mean in those days, competition was more fierce and you wouldn't have the same player winning almost every Championship.

The joker is on another level right now , 28 masters 1000 series and counting from 42 finals, amazing, he has the mental and physical edge on all the other players and if he continues the way he is playing he will have another great year.. @DaDude that's a fair argument and I think Djokovic is benefeting from rafa and federers injuries as well as the inconsistincies of wawrinka and murray,, We have the young guns coming up ,Thiem , Krygios, Goffin etc but that's going to take some time.
