It's amazing. France lost two of its pool games and yet makes the final. The real final is tomorrow's game between New Zealand and Australia.

This tournament style is a farce, farcicle refs making dubious calls, cheating, teams losing two games and going through , i could bang on for a couple of hours but it's poinltess.

The spear tackle did look pretty ordinary - but surely a yellow card would have sufficed and then let the judiciary sort it out through the week. Wales were very brave and probably deserved the win - but well done to the French lads, they have now made 3 WC finals. That's 2 more than a team in Black, by the way.

I hope whoever wins tomorrow shows the rugby world how unworthy the French are of being finalists by putting 50 on them next week.

Burakumin you dont know what you are talking about, you think NZ has only been in 1 final?

You should check your facts and also take alook at history.

Gotta agree with Burakumin on this one! Seen that kind of tackle about a dozen times in this WC and this gets a red?! In pool play, I can see it getting a red, but in a semifinal? Personally, I think Wales was robbed of a chance to make it to the finals. :-(

OK then, Export, my mistake - it's just hard to remember the Blacks have been in 2 finals, their performances when it counts are rarely memorable! Getting the excuses ready for tomorrow, mate? Food poisoning, anyone? Biased refs? IRB conspiracy?

    how unworthy the French are

Only because of that sentence i would love the Blacks win tomorrow (sorry Burakumin...) for the French give them in the final, their third very important, crucial loss against us !

No excuses from me burakumindes, if the blacks lose they lost, but i dont think aussie has a chance tomorrow, the all blacks at home, you know how hard they are to beat at home.

Plus its the world cup, and the all blacks have been having practise and trial runs at winning the world cup it for 24 years, they have a point to prove now, aussie havent got a hope in hell to be honest.

If there is a biased ref on the game tomorrow he aint leavin NZ alive, if there is food poisoning at a hotel it will be suzy. ** GO BLACK**

    unworthy ?

No, a combination of circonstances :

Because Tonga beat Canada (so the french went to quarter-final) because Irland beat Australia (so the french didnt have Australia to beat in quarter-final, only England ) also in this match today because Wales missed so many penalties and kicks so the french are in final.

But i want to add that the France team has shown a real strong character...loosing badly to the Tongians but redeemed against the English and finally today martyred against Wales...France is still here. Bravo.

    Everything is possible !

    @calm down

I eat "frogs" but FROGS eat ABs... look :

    31 october 1999 : Score: 43-31

    6 october 2007 : Score: 20-18

    23 october 2011 : ....................

Even from a Wallaby fan, sure about yourself ?

    ALLEZ LES BLEUS

actually burakumindes if the ABs go through it will ALSO be their 3rd RWC final (87, 95) to Frances '87, '99, '11.

And this is giving you confidence ?? a scoreline of 12 years ago...?? why dont you go back 2 weeks, knocked back to New Caledonia by Tonga, last week almost beaten by an English rabble...and last night had to rely on a 14 man Welsh side fluffing kicks...I like the French I think they're humorous but no merci beacoups for blues..

btw that the '95 All Blacks had food poisoning in RWC Final is not a contentious fact. It is simply stating what actually happened. I had a friend play in that final (I won't embarrass him by writing his name) So I heard it straight from the horses mouth.

The issue was whether or not the food poisoning was deliberate. Well, no one can confirm or deny that. As there is no hard evidence most of us accept it was just bad luck that 3/4s of the squad were vomiting into their toilets 2 nights before the final.... still it made for a great conspiracy. There are some (including members of that AB squad) who believe it was deliberate. I don't know or care - they lost end of story. They were still the better team by a very long way - but as we have seen time and time again. A RWC picks a winner...it doesn't necessarily pick the best team.

Whoever goes through tonight - the frogs are roadkill!

I watched that game last night and it reconfirmed to me why I watch just one or two games a year.

Get the ball, kick it to the other end. Other side catches it runs a few meters and then 20 odd people climb and push over each other until the other side gets it who then kicks it back to the original kicker who starts the whole sorry cycle again.

Scrums, it appears to me, are set to test the referees ability to find the most microscopic fault so he can start the whole thing again.

It was a turgid, brain numbingly boring 80 minutes out of my life. If Rugby was a new concept you could not have sold that crap to a blind man.

Finally, just how long is the ball actually in play in an 80 minute match? 20 mins?
