As I said before, the Giants are finally healthy and playing great on both sides of the ball. Could very well be facing the Pats in the Superbowl.

It's like the 80's and early 90's again - who would've predicted in preseason that the 49ers will once again be hosting the Giants for the NFC Champ!
So out of all that offense-filled season, 3 of the last 4 teams have good defenses. The more things change, the more things stay the same.......

J. Harbaugh has done great job with 49ners. Coming matchups are looking good. Beating GB at home is huge for Giants and E Manning.

Makes you realize how lousy Mike Singletary was too.

I see a New England-49ers Super Bowl with the Pats emerging victorious.

You could also argue that Singletary did help certain players (Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis come to mind) improve by forcing them to take their craft more seriously.
An 18-22 career record isn't outstanding, but there are quite a few coaches who have done worse in the same amount of time. The team did show some promise the first year and a half he was there and even though that 2010 did not live up to expectations, some sort of foundation was laid for the future.
The 49ers were bad and spinning their wheels for quite some time before Singletary became the head coach. The two guys before him had a combined record of 27-60 which is not very good at all. Sure, he had his flaws but he did do some good things that might have helped pave the way for the team's success this year.
