IF you love Football, PLEASE read this!!

I'll never forget how England was robbed. I'm American and of course I support U.S.MNT. There's nothing worse than an unfair game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was Lampard who blasted a shot that was not counted during the last World Cup, wasn't it?

Speculation of match fixing just ruins the business model as a whole.

People misunderstand America. The average Japanese person assumes that America doesn't play soccer. It s fair to say that broadcasters want NFL, NBA, and MLB games. They tend to shy away from MLS cause they believe it's not profitable yet. Sponsors won't get behind it. As a result, there's this misconception that Americans don't play soccer. WRONG!! They are out there, in the parks, on the pitches, playing soccer Saturdays and Sundays. Practice during the week. Organizations alike AYSO promote soccer in almost every community they can.

Here's the tie -in. Many of the people around me don't like the World Cup cause they feel they'll get a rigged game. That critical goals will not be recognized. The French, no disrespect to the people, have gotten away with murder at times. Hand of Maradona goals. That kind of stuff just ruins football for the next generation of fans.

Die hard football fans know and now recognize that Americans are getting behind their team. We watched in Times Square New York and across the nation. You can't believe how much it hurts to see a blown call or more so a goal not counted.

There's no shame in losing to a good team that beat you fair and square. If England could ever beat us in the WC then my hat's off to them. Last WC England and the U.S played. Cup or no cup, that's a grudge match with bragging rights on the line.

The reality is the U.S blew it in the 2nd half and England outplayed us. The misfortune was critical calls by the referees being missed or blown all together. To the Brits, don't think for a second that we wanted it to end like that. I want it to be clear as day for the world to see, that either The U.S or England clearly won that match.
The U.S has never lost to England in the WC, but had the game been called properly I might not be able to say that today.

A goal line system is NECESSARY. It will improve the sport. Instant replay should be a challenge. Because of the length of the game we can't do it all the time. Still I think the sport needs it. Consider all that was put into the game beforehand. The money, the preparation, the training, the buildup of emotion and energy. The players and the people who watch deserve a fair game.

The worst move by FIFA had to have been when they disallowed replays to be shown on the JumboTron screens at matches. Furthermore if a team that honorably and knowing allows another team a free goal, they can be penalized. The only people who would be upset with that would be gamblers.

You would think they would have a reply system by now. Great chance for the TV networks to throw in a few quick commercials while the clock is stopped.

In this world in 2011:- school children use A4-sized touch sceen computer tablets to research their homework, office workers in Korea swipe virtual credits on their mobile phones to purchase groceries, job seekers post their resumes and communicate for work on a cloud-based website, and FIFA need another year to install some video cameras next to a goalpost.......
