Hakuho 3 wins clear? Wait hasn't Kotooshu won this thing already? Oh sorry I'm just rambling complete nonsense.
Hakuho, whoever he is, is gonna take this one 15 zip. Locked up Ama today and the smaller Mogolian had no recourse. A couple of misfirings there today, but I've seen him do that three times in a row before, so really he could have gone a couple more. Little bull terrior that he is. Prior to this bout, he'd beaten Hakuho in four of their last five meets. What a guy. Needs another 10cm and 20kg though, or ozeki status may never come.
Kotooshu looked much more composed today, and did well. Must have cried himself out by now and accepted he'll never be yokozuna. Shame he bought the 'two consecutive tournament wins at ozeki equals yokozuna' crap, unnecessarily touted by the media and the middle-aged women who love him.
I wouldn't put too much money on that - Kotooshyu has the potential. Look at his performance last basho.
"wonderful kachikoshi!"
Yes, he has avoided kadoban ozeki once again!
Romulus, just 2 more wins for the Bulgarian gladiator and I'm off the hook for the Nodogoshi Nama. Hee hee!
Speaking of kadoban, Chiyotaikai got out today for his 12th time. A new record in sumo. Congratulations. That's 12 tournaments he's failed to notch more wins than losses. Pretty damn average. Down with kadoban.
sarge, you are off the hook already. I will never drink that box of hell. but I agree, If kotooshyu can compose himself,he may have a chance at reaching Yokozuna. I respect the way he has fought back in this basho to keep his self respect after a disastrous start, in which we saw Asa quit, but Kotooshyu stay for the same reasons. This basho may turn the boy into a man and we may see great things from him in the future. Lets hope so.
Sarge, Kotooshyu avoided kadoban? Come on, he is 8:3 at the moment and has several fights ahead with his regular victims Hakuho, Chiotaikai, Ama, Kaio...

"This basho may turn the boy into a man"
If Kotooshyu is a boy not a man, who is a man in the Makuuchi division? Asashyoryu? Takamisakari? Please tell me, I want to know what a man is.
