Hakuho was rather humble about the whole deal. Surprised a bit to hear him say that the record was really no big deal, seeing that there is still one more day of sumo left. He's making it hard for me to not like him. Seems to be a classier act than I've given him credit for...

As for Asashoryu, he has nothing to sulk about. Hakuho may have three basho this year, but He has two. Here's hoping he can put the last couple of years behind him, and come back stronger than ever in 2010...

He can be excellent and the next day bad, he is volatile, but when he does do well, he deserves to be praised

    what undoes him?

From the looks of the strapping on his shoulder the past few days... I think this time his shoulder has come undone.

    what undoes him?

    maybe his Balkan character.

I am so sad that this is the last basho for this year. It would be great to have more bashos in a year, because I like commenting sumo and reading sumo comments and also I like to fight with sweet Sarge over Kotooshu. But one day Sarge will recognize that Kotooshu is the best and will not tease me that Kotooshu will never be an yokozuna and then we will go to Kotoshyu's unauguration party (as yokozuna).

Love, no worries, the next basho will be underway before you know it, and though I recognize that Kotooshu is handsome, he is still far from the best.

sigh, tomorrow Kotooshu will beat Ama, isn't this enough for you to change your opinion? You make me so crazy when you say he is not one of the best.

it makes me sad that you are not able to admit Kotooshyu's good performance when he deserves it. He was good today and he won. He can be excellent and the next day bad, he is volatile, but when he does do well, he deserves to be praised. Asashoryu must learn that he could not win all the time and must be psychilogically steady.

LoveUSA, I like Kotooshu, don't get me wrong! He is a young wrestler with great skills and technique - I hope he keeps learning and moves up the Sumo ranks.

Get outta here, that's what sport is all about Love, supporting your favourite players! Go Kotooshu, and Go Asashoryu!

LoveUSA you are mad in love with Kotooshu.

    Just let me make clear.

First of all Kotooshu will never be Yokuzuna.

Secondly his got no talents in wrestling

Thirdly his got no technique what so ever and no ability.

Fourthly His just toll and his using his long hands to grab opponent and just pushing on side that is at!

    No offence…respect LoveUSA.

  • Sarge at 09:58 AM JST - 29th November

LoveUSA might just be right about Kotooshu beating Ama, er, Harumafuji today! He's got a 12-10 edge over Harumafuji.

LoveUSA you are mad in love with Kotooshu.

No, I am not, I respect him as the perfect classic style wrestler and sumo player. His technique is outstanding. If it was not for his size, he still would be competing in wrestling, holding world and olympic tytles. Before sumo, he wass the wrestling world champion, you cannot achieve this without technique.

Congratulations to "boring" Hakuho on his ZENSHO YUSHO! Great match with Asa! I missed everything up til that match - did Kotooshu beat Ama or what?

  • LoveUSA at 06:22 PM JST - 29th November

Sigh, Ama was quick, I could not even see the sweet face of sweet Kotoshu.
