Obviously Hakuho is also not against the idea of finding a new job at some time in the near future.

Only if he has a joint in his possession. Bashing someone to death, on the other hand, is OK.

Hakuho will be a great talento. Follow the footsteps of Konishiki.

Sumo in the Olympics?? Who the hell would there be to compete? Mongolia, Japan, Russia.... and?

While I don't think it'll see an Olympics any time soon, I agree that more foreigners should be allowed. No doubt Hakuho will be scolded by the out-of-date JSA for his remarks.

Because his previous suppliers have been thrown out?

“I’d like to see more foreign wrestlers allowed in but it’s not my decision,” Hakuho, a Mongolian, said Wednesday at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan. “I think it would be good for the sport.”

    Spot on, Hakuho.

Finland, Norway, Poland. Hungary. Ukraine, USA, Georgia, Estonia, Bulgaria Thailand, France, Netherlands, NZ, Australia, Germany, Kazakhstan, UK and more You are obviously confusing OOzumo - Japanese Pro sumo with the very international amateur sumo - which is the one which wants Olympic status. You wont ever see the pro sumo guys there if it ever happens.

Olympics for amateurs??? When was the last time you actually watched the Olympics? The Olympics have been infested with professionals for the last 20 years!

I personally would like to see the elimination of all sports dominated by professionals. A 30km walk by amateurs is a lot closer to the Olympic ideal than a 100m dash by highly paid professionals.

If Ozumo becomes like the Premiership, where foreign players are the rule and not the exception, it would not be a boon for Japanese sumo.
