I'm still not impressed with Hakuho.

The real story of this tournament was Baruto coming back from 2-7 and finishing with 8-7. Good stuff. Plus the idiot judges made him win three times today against Kakuryu.

Ama won another prize and finished with 12-3. Got 10-5 last tournament so could be up for ozeki if he posts double digits again in November.

Kotooshu slinked into 8-7 today. Very average.

Hakuho is the most boring yokozuna of all time.

Blue Tiger - I guess you're not impressed with anyone then.

chibaman - Agree with you about Baruto. But, Hakuho, though you think is boring, is the undisputed champ. You should show more respect.

I do not think it is possible for Hakuho to be any more boring. He has certainly perfected the art of having no personality whatsoever. That takes a lot of work, I respect that. He really is at the height of boring everybody, even you too Sarge, you just don't know it yet. Tee hee!

chibaman - I admit that Hakuho is not as entertaining as Asa "I Love to Play Soccer in Mongolia Even With a Bad Back" Shoryu, but you should at least congratulate the man on winning 5 out of the last 7 bashos.

Hakuho sucks. Congratulations on his cautious sumo and non-event personality. What a snoozefest zzzZZZZ.

Heart disease, obesity, high choloesterol; ‘‘Winning the tournament in these circumstances has given me a lot of confidence.’’ I will live a long and happy life!!!

As some foreign blood refreshed decades sleepy sumo, Hakuho possibly resemble pre-mongolian traditional japanese sumo wrestlers. I'd prefer Hakuho over Asoshyoryu.

I hope asa will come back as his old self. We need 2 yokozuna battling it out on the last day. And i hope Ama will become ozeki his sumo is more exiting than the current ozeki's Although Kaio was impressibe this bashou, he is not like he used to be. Kotooshu keeps being dissapointing, while chiyotaikai sumo is always the same

Sarge - Asashoryu impresses me: anyone who can come in, and, up until his bad run started, rack up 22 basho in such a short time the way he did is truly impressive. Ama also impresses me: the guy is basicalyl the smallest rikishi in the Makuuchi division, and he's beating up in folks, having winning records with amazing regularity. Kotooshu has been impressivei n the past: his initial rise to the San'yaku was as impressive as Asashoryu's, however, he has been less than impressive in his time as Oozeki. Kotomitsuki also impresses me: he could have packed it in years ago when he was seriously battling injury. However, he's kept at it, and, unlike Chiyoutaikai and Kaio, has risen above the mediocrity of most of the other Oozeki after his own promotion. I'm impressed with Takamisakari: Despite his horrid records as of late, he is stil la fan favorite. In my Opinion about Hakuho, he's about as good as the Oozeki, and the only reason he was promoted is because Asashoryu backed out of the two tourneys he won due to injury.
