From all reports a classy first up win for the ozzies, but very disappointed that the opening of the Asia Cup & opening game was not shown on tv.
As I understand Asahi tv has the rights & I now assume only Japan's games will be shown, until the finals. I hope I'm wrong.
In world sporting events, Japan needs to embrace the "Sports" as a whole, and not just the Japanese "Sports", especially in this case where Japan is the current Asian champion and Favorite. It could be said that Japan has a duty to promote the event widely instead of narrowly.

@ Browny - agreed. Sadly here in Australia it was also not shown live free to air - it was a 2 hour delayed telecast on a non-commercial network. Not exactly a big buzz here over the whole tournament either - I imagine the same in Japan?
