    I hope he hits more for power now he off a losing team. Hate Yankees, love Ichiro, conflicted. Go Skankees!

    Don't like either one of them. Last I heard he STILL uses a translator. I have never seen the guy try to appeal to the fans at all. A fitting combination, personality wise. Neither are friendly.

    Derek Jeter has said that Ichiro has a fun personality and that his English has improved.

    Sandiegoluv, Ichiro uses the translator to keep the media at arm's length. As for appealing to the fans, he's been doing that with his performance since day 1.

    I'm not a Yankees fan, but love watching Ichiro play. It is strange though that since the trade the Mariners seem to be winning more and the Yankees are losing more.
