lots of j-teams would take him but i heard his wife doesnt want to come back to japan so daisuke had to settle for this.

It's just a minor league contract, no big financial investment on the part of the Indians. They'll give him a good look this Spring. I hope he makes it.

Besides Matsuzaka signing minor league contract with Indians, former Red Sox reliever, Okajima signed a minor league contract with the A's. Okajima had a great season with Softbank, and had less than 1.00 ERA. When he is healthy, he has a good stuff, and might end end up having a good season with the A's.
