Even if Inoue can make it, the guy will be emotionally exhausted from all the crying before he even lands in Beijing. Early exit from the event to be at least partly due to the recent crisis in Tibet.

So Tani gets her kiester handed to her by Yamaguchi.....and she still makes the Olympic Squad, but the woman who trounced her doesn't??? How's that fair????

I'm with you BT. Tani has her olympic gold...time to give someone younger(who just happened to beat her!) a shot. 8-|

Kiester handed to her? Did you see the score? It was what 001 to 000 or something. Not really a beatdown, but still a loss.

Yes, Tani got her kiester handed to her: unless it was a foto crop, the Japan Times English Edition on Monday showed Yamagishi in the midst of putting Tani on her back. If that isn't getting your kiester handed to you in Judo, then I must be misunderstangin the sport. Tani doesn't deserve to go, and if she does, so does Nomura, who has three Olympic Golds.....

Did you watch it, or just look at a picture. I watched it, and she was in that position for a split second. It isn't like she was pinned down.
