There is no sport organization that is not based on self-interest and IOC is the biggest of all of them.

Whats the amount of money involved in this doping drama? Which party is not getting its share of money here? Where is the bottleneck? This will influence this decision eventually.
Nothing else really matters.
People around the world are dumb enough to still watch these games and sing national anthem with same pride and joy.

Every time a Russian wins medal the victory will be tainted with the possibility/probability that doping has been used at some point. This is the biggest cop-out that the IOC could have chosen. These Brazil Olympic games are becoming a farce.

Truly pathetic by the IOC. I honestly think it is time these sporting bodies should be broken up permanently. They are definitely the most useless pseudo organisations out there and serve no purpose
