yes spring in Nz can be very changable. In Auckland in particular expect plenty of rain. but are these not hard men? Also in the south island expect occasinial frost and earthquakes. Should be just like at home.

Haha good old auckland weather taking abite of the japanese team. They need to toughen up if they want to claim the two scalps they aiming for, I'm sure the canadians wont mind the cold.

What a bunch of babies! And yet when it's WC in Japan (and Korea) it's okay to play in temperatures close to 40 with 90% humidity? Better it's slightly cold than blazing hot, methinks, as you warm your body through playing. Now granted, a cold rain doesn't help anything, but these people really need to toughen up.

I'm surprised - considering quite a few of the Brave Blossoms are Kiwis and Pacific Islanders. They should hopefully harden up and try and adjust to cold conditions they have never felt before in Japan. Let's hope they shock the world and beat Tonga and Canada.

Slather yourselves in tiger balm before you go out on the field. It gives you the illusion of being warm until your body heats up on its own steam, and for an added bonus anyone from the opposite team who touches you and then rubs their eyes is going to know it.
One of several tricks my boys used to use back home for cold Winter games. (I was their "physio" and I was always out of tiger balm!)
