Omedeto kido! Japan has always fielded a strong tough team every year and again are in the finals. They train so hard and are totally dedicated to the sport. Rain or shine these kids are dedicated and engaging in hardcore brutal training daily and really do count the cost and pay the price to excel. Ganbare Nihon!

the left-handed Suzuki watched in awe at the plate as the ball clear the 225-foot wall.

I admit to knowing nothing about kids' baseball - but that seems like a BIG hit! Good luck to the Hamamatsu City lads...err...I mean "Team Japan".

Good job, Japan! These kids are top-notch, and I'm pretty sure they've got it in the bag -- unless Mexico has a few surprises up their sleeves.

Just don't do what the players from Koshien runners-up Kosei in Aomori did, bragging on your blog about drinking alcohol. You really don't want to see your coaches apologizing on national TV, right kids.

Yes SmithininJapan, actually the little Mexican kids are doing great, and they have been winning all of their games, they are on a roll, beating Taiwan, beating all of the other teams so far, and Taiwan is no piece of cake so, lets so who will be the winners this year? My kids are half Mexican and half Japanese so either way, they will be happy?? Gosh, I wish they made the Bad News Bears movies again!

Mexico already beat them before, so if anything, Mexico won't be a surprise to them again. It's Japan who has to come up with some surprises.
