Well done, Cambodia. According to the comments on yahoo, many Japanese viewers were impressed by the clean play by the Cambodian players and with the fans at the stadium. They are a young team with plenty of potential. I just hope for their sake that they get to play on some real grass. I've played soccer on artificial turf and I know how bad that can be.

I watched this for about 10 minutes at the gym while working out, until I realized it was more exciting to watch the counter on the tread I was on. Still, have to give credit to Cambodia for showing up the mighty samurai blue. Had it not been for that very unfortunate header, there's a chance they could have kept it at a draw -- no guarantees any goals would have been scored later.

If Japan does this badly against a team 133 teams below them in the rankings, and have already lost to Singapore once, and not faired that well besides, there's no way they last past the first round in the WC.

They haven't lost to Singapore. They are undefeated so far and have given up 0 goals.

Undefeated does not mean they won every game, does it? My bad, they were held to a 0-0 draw by the 154th ranked country, like they ALMOST were here. Despite being on top, they still suck. Proof of that was in this game, and the coach knows it.
