Yep, volleyball teams in same group of Japan also refuse to play away games on Japanese soil (in Wakayama!)

How shall we call all those refusing to enter for short term sporting events? No-fly-in-jin !?

So, it is unsafe to have a sporting event, but it is safe for children to go to school and adults to go to work? Cancelation is like increasing the tax, as proposed. It does not stimulate the economy.

Considering they would have spent 1/3 of the race swimming in the same ocean where they're intentionally pumping radioactive water, I think their concerns would have a little more merit than adults and children on dry land.

I was up for this race and am very disappointed that it is not going ahead. Total over reaction. It is the soft Euro pros that are leading the boycott. With the "Kuroshio" current from the south and then flowing east and out into the Pacific, the chances of any radio active water reaching this far south is very small. The normal pollution in Tokyo Bay is probably of greater concern.
