An impressive display by the Japan Under-23 side. The had Cameroon on the back foot for most of the game. Pity no score.

Worst game I've seen in a long time (guess I shouldn't have expected much). Way too much over-the-top physical stuff going on elbows, pushing, holding, body-checking. Pathetic. In my opinion the ref was clearly favouring the Japanese team by not dishing out a few more yellow cards against them. I'm sticking to the Euro for now. No need to waste my time watching that garbage anymore!

Sorimachi's Japan is the most prepared U-23 team in the world. They have played more than 30 games since the team was put together and yet could not beat an ill prepared Cameroon team lacking 4 regulars and that has not played up to 8 matches since its inception. Anything short of a quarter final for Japan in Peking will be deemed as a failure considering the amount of money and preparation of the J-boys.
