The hype is more powerful than the typhoon most of the time.

Looking at the forecast it seems that Suzuka will be catching the leading edge on Sunday so it will be wet and windy but worse on Monday so, we might still have a race. Flights out of Tokyo may be affected on Monday.

The race itself will probably be fine, even if wet.
It's the next day that the organizers are worried about, ie getting packed up and sent off in good time for the Russian GP the following weekend.
