Perhaps FIM will have to change its mind and change the avenue.

MotoGP have announced only yesterday that there is no radiation to be concerned with at Motegi, and the race will go ahead as scheduled. (There is simply too much on the line, with respect to television revenues, advertising contracts, and etc. for it to be cancelled.) My favourite rider Casey Stoner stands together with Lorenzo in announcing his intention not to compete...

less intelligence or homework then in mogogp versus f1 then. They would have racked up more radiation so far this year in their travels alone to all the circuits, let alone some of those circuits might consider have higher radiation.

Around 110km as the karasu flies.

Guys participating in a sport that has a very strong chance of serious injury or even death are worried about the mere possibility slightly increased exposure to radiation over a short period of time. I can't say I get it.

Smorkian -- no surprise there. Risking ones life in a sport where the rider can greatly contol their fate -- in return for millions of dollars in salary -- is entirely different than potentially risking ones long-term health based on assurances from a third-party. These riders are calculated risk takers, and know their limits based on years of racing experience. Deciding to roll the dice on possible radiation exposure, which is a subject none of them has any experience in -- in fact, no one, including you, does with a crisis of this type -- is a completely different matter. Your attempt to simplify things by equating the two types of risks is nonsense.

Actually, this response is nonsense, mine is perfectly reasonable, and you and I both know you put this here just to attack me and not to discuss the point.

Here is the actual FIM and Dorna report about the GP in Motegi and the results of their investigation. I am glad it is going ahead. Been a MotoGP fan since 1984 :)

I can't believe both Yamaha and Honda factory riders (Jorge Lorenzo & Casey Stoner) will be allowed to miss the Japanese race.
They are both title contenders and their employers are Japanese companies.
Come on lads, I respect all of you as riders, but show your support for your team and Japan.
