Good on Japan. They've been lacking in the soccer department where their South Korean rivals have been slightly better. Whether or not this changes things has yet to be seen, but hopefully it will give the 'Samurai Blue' or whatever they are called, the confidence they need to shoot more and do better in general.
I tend to think, though, that they often play their best against Korea (in sports in general) but kind of 'give up' when it comes to European teams out of some inferiority complex and stop shooting well or altogether.

4-1 indeed...but only one goal was bagged by a Japanese player.

I meant that in international sports Japan seems to play it's best against rivals like SKorea/China, and in some sports, like soccer, give up to an extent because they believe themselves incomparable to Western teams (ie. Europe for soccer).
