  They can't be happy ! They missed their stated goals and were down almost 10 medals from Athens. They lost their stanglehold on the Judo competition and embarrassed themselves on the baseball diamond, as well as in the media booth following the bronze medal game. Aside from a few fortunate results Japan seemed unprepared for this Olympics. Being right here in Asia (no jet lag) and having a large fan base to follow they should have done much better. They are obviously trying to sugar coat this for the masses but I guarantee you the gut feeling out there is nothing short of failure. Lets hope the national team doesn't go in the tank against bahrain next month or we could have some serious chuo line delays !
