Nothing is so simple that it cannot be misunderstood -- Freeman Teague, Jr.

Lotte would be making a big mistake if they got rid of Bobby V. He's a great manager, its just that this year has been "one of 'those' years". Chiba Lotte has had a lot of their great players injured for most of the year, and yet, they are still within striking distance of a play-off spot.

One rumor in Seattle is that he will be taking over the helm there next year. God knows they need somebody to bring them back.
If he did, he would only have to add an R to his uniform...

Don't know much about baseball but I sure do know that the S.Koreans sure have a great company. Lotte makes some good burgers.

It would be a sad and dark day if he were to actually resign or even if the higher ups actually wanted it to happen. Considering Bobby Valentine is such a major icon for the team, fans, city, etc., and what he would like to see implemented for Japanese Baseball in general, it would be a huge mistake and a major let down. I would like to see him continue as manager with the team for as long as he wants. Even so, if and when his managerial service days are done with at least give him a spot in the Chiba Lotte Marines offices somewhere. Where his presence can still be felt by and to everyone in the organization, fans included of course.
