Moyes is out of his depth, simple as that. He has to go. It would be best for all if he himself acknowledges that he just wasn't the right man for the job and sees himself out. Sackings are always a messy affair. And this is definitely going to get very messy. But United cannot afford this fiasco to continue. Gianluca Vialli said as far back as February that if this had happened at a top club in Italy, Moyes would have been sacked three times over. Moyes has completely lost the plot and the dressing room, evidenced by the growing rumors of discontent among the players and even Giggs who is part of the coaching staff. When a Manc lad like Danny wants out, it speaks volumes about the atmosphere of the club and the direction in which it is headed. United have a history of playing football with flair, and Moyes has got us to play insipid, uninspiring, unimaginative, unattractive and borderline negative football. He doesn't fit the footballing philosophy of the club, nor has the tactical acumen to achieve the club's requirements.

Also, some of the United players need to look in the mirror for putting up some absolutely disgraceful performances. You don't want to play for the manager? Then play for the shirt you put on and the fans that cheer you on. If nothing else, at least justify the exorbitant amounts of money you earn.

Sir Alex also needs to share a lot of blame for this unmitigated disaster. What happened here was a top club of England appointing a manager solely on the basis of one person's recommendation, without having a look at his achievements, his philosophy, his track record. No interviews, no selection procedure followed, just given the greatest job in football on a whim. This cannot be allowed to happen. As great a legend Sir Alex is for Man United, the club always comes first. No shame in admitting he was wrong, as he most certainly was. Moyes should leave, and the club should concentrate on finding a proper replacement that gets United back to it's ways.

It looks like he's on his way and Man U have dealt with this very badly. Gary Neville described the situation at Man U as 'repulsive'. As stated above, the behaviour of some of the players has been atrocious and comparable to the likes of 'JT' and 'Lamps' who sulked when a manager of their liking wasn't in charge. Has-beens like Ferdinand should have been out out to grass years ago rather than pick up a wage for moaning and mediocrities like Wellbeck should realise that he wouldn't get a look-in at any of the top sides. Moyes hasn't done the job but Man U fans have learned about the character of some of their players through this season. As for the next manager, who in their right mind would want to work for the Glazers?

I don't see where the Glazers come into this, except for well, sacking Moyes. I know a lot United fans don't look on the Glazers favorably, but it's hard to blame them for the current situation at the club. They followed Sir Alex's advice, appointed his pick as his successor, and gave him far more time than he would got at Chelsea from Abramovich or even at Tottenham from Levy. I don't see a manager turning down this job because "he didn't want to work for the Glazers".

They should have ditched him sooner. Even without the latest string of poor results he was clearly out of his deprth and losing his players. his transfer buys were also clesr eveidence of his uselessness. He will do well with some mid league team where theirexpectations match his ability. Man u should go for Kopp or even try a Giggs/Cantona/ Beckham combo.....

The media is circling around Man U Carrington train ground this morning, live broadcasts are expecting a imminent announcement of Moyes departure as manager of Man U.

The Dutch national football manager, Louis van Gaal is the Bookies favourite to take over, although the smart money has Spurs as a better fit for Van Gaal.

Word around the camp fire has Ryan Giggs taking temporary charge until a replacement for Moyes is formally announced.

Diego Simeone, Atlético Madrid, is also rumoured to have been sounded out too. Shinji Kagawa is briefing press his displeasure at tactics and lack of first team starts.

The fans gripe originates from the Glazer family leveraged buyout, it is deviously clever, load £525m borrowings on the club itself, the £480m Man U have had to finance in interest repayments, could have been spent on players and staff,. that the theory, well part of it..

Wakarimasen; Love your Giggs (serial cheater)/Cantona (Convicted criminal for attacking Crystal Palace supporter), Beckham (not too much going on up top). I approve, let's see how many more "fans" they would lose going down with those thre, ROFL!

It's done. Moyes is out. Should have happened in January but better late than never. Hope the board is planning on pairing Giggsy with Rene Meulensteen to run the show for the rest of the season, possibly longer if we play well with them at the helm.

Carlos Queiroz would also be welcome back as assistant manager to Giggs if he can be enticed away from the Iranians. He'd certainly sort out United's defensive woes in short order.
