Say what you really mean:
"We're doing it because we know we can make a load of money. We're going to put Kagawa's name and number on as many products as we can, because the Japanese people who are only interested in our team while a Japanese player is in our squad will eat them up like hot cakes."

You're half right, but Salford Town were big here way before Kagawa.... Their popularity knows no boundaries. Like air pollution. Or a flu virus ; )

Nah, I'm a Coventry fan. It's like you're accusing a toadstool of being jealous of Jennifer Lopez. Different universes....

I'm not a fan, but I do like Man U. I think it's funny that the Chelsea and Man City fans who were always saying that Man U are good just because they have a load of money to throw around, are rather silent now. I do wish Liverpool would disappear too. I hate them with a passion!
My favorite team isn't in the Premier, it's in the Championship. That is all I will divulge, since the rest is too embarassing.
Do any teams other than the Yokohama Marinos play foreign teams when they come to Japan? Why does it ALWAYS seem to be them????

How can you hate a football club "with a passion!"? I don't understand that mentality at all.

Money dude, they have the big stadium and the cash to pay for the big teams. Man U charge millions of dollars to turn up at this events. Ground billiards is big business.

I guarantee you that city fans are not silent. The reason we were top last year was due to the money spent on the team. To be honest, it is not the way things should be (at least not to this extent). Please let me rap you on Liverpool too, they have a small ground and struggle to generate big money the way other top UK clubs do, and they are PASSIONATE about the intimacy of their ground (especially the Kop). I have been there and saw the ground and there are very few corporate boxes that are the real money generators. Their conundrum is that they are so popular that they could sell season tickets 10x the value they do, but they try to keep the ordinary man linked in. I used to dislike them, but I have a more considerate view on them now. And hoenstly speaking, Gerard's goal against City last week was an absolute cracker! Hate him for it, but can't deny his brilliance!

The presence of Suarez alone negates anything good that can be said about Liverpool.

USN Will agree with you there, but no man is bigger than a club. Case in point, Balotelli - thank heaven he is gone now! In the same vein though, as a Man U supporter, were you OK with Ronaldo's constant theatrics?

Unless you were born in Liverpool or Manchester, you couldn't possibly understand the passion both fans have for the game which has an historical rivalry between them based on that passion and mutual respect. Man U supported Liverpool over the years with the Hillsborough disaster and just last week, Liverpool released a special poster for the Munich air disaster.
The Man U v. Liverpool games are still the greatest of the season. If you have never been to one of those games you have never experienced one of the strongest passions for the game, from both fans. The atmosphere is always electric.
The Liverpool captain, Steve Gerard is one of the most respected players in the game, by the players, managers and fans.

Newcastle and Sunderland would be in the same league (no pun intended).

You're right, CR was a tough one to defend at times. I'm biased being a United fan but still I don't think he fills the villain role nearly as well as Suarez does. For one thing Ronaldo could back up his antics and superstar-sized ego with indisputable results unlike the Kop's Uruguayan handballer.
