    It would certainly be a thrill for the people here, and probably fun for the MLB players (assuming they don't have to play when jet-lagged), but it doesn't seem very practical.

    That game in 2008 was dull. Contrast the MLB game with a typical NPB or even high school game for crowd energy. ZZZzzzzzz.....

    I love baseball but there's not much chance I will see this game if it happens. Much better to watch our local teams and enjoy cheering with the energetic fans.

    The Japanese aren't used to cheering in a MLB game. And they really have no team to root for, just a couple players.

    They should be matched against Japanese high school teams -- they might have a chance of winning that way.

    Oh man, I'd love to see this happen being the Left Coast/ NorCal gal that I am! Would rather see the SF Gigantes play and Timmy pitch instead of the A's, but hey, I'll take whatever MLB I can get here in Japan. Gotta 'Fear the Beard' in any language and on any soil ;) I read in Japan Today the other day that Brad Pitt's newest movie features an Oakland As storyline...
