Marussia refuted news reports that Bianchi had been told to ignore the yellow flags and keep racing at full pace in the wet and dim conditions at the race earlier this month, saying the claims were “entirely false.”

Odd that this claim was even made. Videos of the crash clearly show that the race officials had green flags out at the time of the crash, not yellow.

Fadamor, the green flag was near the crash site, but it indicated the condition of the track in the segment past the crash site. The segment of the track that includes the crash site was under a double yellow flag. This is old news - I'm surprised you missed it.

So I'm a driver on the track. I drive past an official displaying a double yellow flag. As I approach the curve, I observe an official displaying a green flag. As a competitive race car driver what do you think I will be doing while the green flag is out? That double yellow is behind me, all I see is a green flag. I WILL be racing competitively while the green is out. Putting some parts of the track under yellow while other parts are still racing at top speed is a recipe for disaster, as we've now witnessed.
