Nobuhiro Matsuda drove in four runs and Yuichi Honda went 5-for-6 with an RBI as the Softbank Hawks beat the Seibu Lions 9-5 to snap a three-game losing streak Thursday. Matsuda opened the scoring with a two-run single in the first inning and hit a two-run homer an inning after a two-run double by Hiram Bocachica drew the Pacific League-leading Lions within 7-5 in the seventh at Seibu Dome. Honda singled twice, doubled three times and scored three runs. Jeremy Powell (2-6) picked up his first win since April 15, despite giving up five runs in six-plus innings. Atsushi Okamoto (0-2) took the loss.
