I refuse to watch sports where the paychecks are so wrong. People need to get a life of their own and celebrate life with their own families and friends, and not idolize others.

I guarantee a lot of people watched the fight with their family and/or friends.

The money is obscene, but as we slowly descend into the iold "bread and circuses" routine (now called welfare and celebrity) what is to be expected. He will fight until 50-0 (a few more beatable opponents - Amir Khan next?) and then quit.

Mayweather made the fight boring by running away and getting cheap shots every now and then. No surprise he was booed and the "loser" was cheered. And no surprise boxing has been irrelevant if you can go undefeated by just backing up and grabbing when your opponent gets close, or grazing them with your outstretched arm for points when they don't go in close.

The jerk that interviewed Pacquiao after the match really deserved to be knocked out cold.

$ 100 millions check was for running corner to corner. Last Saturday night fight was actually killing boxing and MMA was more popular than ever before “the Fight of the Running”. Floyd Mayweather Jr next opponent will be Usain Bolt in September. It will be nice if HBO and SHOWTIME have given back some money to subscribers. Also I’m really sorry for ringside spectators who paid huge money to witness ‘the Fight of the Hugging Boxing”. What a waste of money and time to watch Floyd vs. Manny fight? By the way, I watched it free by hooking to Russian website but I still think it’s wasting my time to watch it because the fight didn’t meet my expectation.

Boring fight. I saw the "highlights" only to discover, to my dismay, that there were no highlights.

Vegas & Nevada cashed-in the biggest. The business of America is just that- "business".

Turns out Pacquiao's shoulder was really quite injured.

Surgery to repair the shoulder tear. 9 to 12 months recovery.

Who knows if postponing the fight for a year, the circumstances would still be the same or the fight would still happen.

Mayweather already blocked the fight for years while figuring out the cheapest way possible to get the win. I doubt the result would have changed unless they fixed how the matches are judged.

Its hard to feel sorry for people that pay tons of money for an event that could potentially end in 10 seconds or be long and boring like this one, and probably not have viewing angles as good as the ones on TV as well. I thought they were wasting their money even before the match started, and I didn't even follow boxing enough (how many people have?) to know Mayweather's style was so boring.

@cracaphat

I didn't think that Max Kellerman or the jerk as you call him, was so bad in his line of questioning

Well it seems a lot of people agreed with me, so perhaps it was not simply the questions but the way and tone in which he asked them. But I guess you could say the entire commentating team were jerks for being obviously one-sided (or just plain ignorant) throughout the match. Just say it like it is - Mayweather didn't "control" the match. He just ran, hid, grabbed and collected points by grazing Pacquiao from time to time while backpedaling. Hardly the mark of a champion.
