Liked him before his retirement. He bailed out like a suck when the going got tough. A true professional would take it as an obstacle and try to emerge from the clouds victorious. My respect is just not there!
I was really disappointed when Nakata quit after the world cup. How old was he? 28 or 29? at least another good 4 years to play in europe right? What really compunded the situation was watching Kazu who played well past his prime (albeit in the J-League). Kazu just seemed to show a love of the game and a willingness to bring in the younger players. I just felt that here is a guy who is really giving back to the game and doing something he loves. Whilst I'm sure Nakata gives a lot back through his charity work, it just seems that he could also do a lot more for the sport and the younger kids and players starting out in this sport who may have looked up to him.

Doesn't Nakata 'play for both City and United'...?
