Salaries are out of control. Crooked refs run rampant. College kids getting money from agents. Kids coming out of High School becoming instant millionaires before their first NBA dribble. It is bad for the game, a beautiful game where you throw a ball into a peach basket and everyone tries to stop you.

You're right cactusJack, the NBA is indeed an embarassment. It really has ruined the sport of basketball.

Why is it that sports player's unions are so strong, but unions in general have been getting weaker over the years in America?

NBA players really do not need a lockout

They get paid over 100,000,000 I don't want to hear it. And I'm definitely not crying about it. Lockout for 20 years please.

We'll assume you're joking about believing that every player makes one hundred million dollars a year. No one could possibly be that misinformed.

NBA players really do not need a lockout

"Lockout" usually refers to owners preventing players from working.

If you are displeased with the outrageous salary levels of NBA players, you really should be siding with the owners who want a complete system overhaul in the salary structure in this new collective bargaining agreement.

If so, you should say "NBA players need a lockout".
