Wawrinka should have taken the first set and Nishikori had some fluke net cord shots win him a point or two, but Stan looked like he totally gave up after losing the tiebreak. Nishikori's never give up attitude was the difference.
So another Djokovic-Nishikori final, looking forward to a good match!

He's given up plenty of times, it's just that in those cases you call it something different; injury, fatigue from playing the day before, saving energy...
I do agree in this case, though, that Wawrinka's will, or just concentration, kind of vanished.

Excuses, excuses. Why give excuses for someone losing. Just admit that Nishikori played better than Wawrinka and leave it at that.
