That's the spirit Kei, and I do believe he nets a cool 150 ATP points by making the last 16 at this event, which should boost his ranking to an all time high. Not as high as Shuzo yet though, have to wait till next year for that perhaps.
There's a lot of emphasis on Japan and Japanese in this article. But for the record, Nishikori lives in Florida, trains at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, and is coached by Glenn Weiner ! Take all that away and he's still a triple digit ranked player !

I always switch channels when I see that tarento Shuzo. I hope that if Nishikori does well in the future, he doesn't embarass himself like Shuzo and dance around the court to celebrate.
Awesome job, Kei! A lot of upside since he's only 18 and I love that move where he jumps in the air to slam it into the opponent's court. Exciting player to watch. Certainly a crowd-pleaser. He just needs to gain more experience and mental fortitude.

The kid did good. Maybe this match was a let down from the previous one so he could not get into his groove.
