I wonder how many 10,000 yen notes are secreted between the pages of the book, Japan marketing and promotion at its best!

I trust it dealt with the mayor's political views and opinions about gaijin in some detail

It had Mickey stickers on the cover and everything!!! It's GOTTA WIN!

And this just in: "The proposed Tokyo Olympic Mascot will be an ANIME character in a sexually suggestive but discreet maid outfit."

The MIGHT(?) give some thoughts about the money it will cost to even become close ESPECIALLY if they come out with the screw-ups that the Cdns will have payed for the Winter Olympics & that the majority of Cdns have no thought of attending the above as costs to the nomral Cdn are completely out of reach especially as there is a recession.

Still Tokyo has done it before, so they should know what they are running into.

This article should also state that Chicago has been named the firm favourite (according to most media) among the bidders, rather than the "Well if they win it's only because of Obama" remark that it seems to be making.

The most compact olympic games. Tokyo 2016.

I seriously hope Japan doesn't win, the media will paint it the wrong way for all the "holigans" entering the country and I don't support Japan's flip flop attitude on foreigners in the country.

Soldave, according to the media I consult AND according to the IOC, Chicago is 3rd of the 4. That's not what I call "firm favorite". Tokyo and Madrid are the favorites and Chicago is pretty far behind. As far as I know the IOC decides where the Olympics in 2016 will be held, not the media. Aren't you a little bit too much "star-spangled"?

roomtemperature: The bookies in Britain put Chicago odds on favourites and Tokyo 3-1. I hope America gets it bacuase they know how to do big events (except football) well, and they don'T act prejudiced to visitors.

That Tokyo Mayor fella has shoot himself in the foot, like. His rude comments about foreigners is getting quite well known worldwide. Japan don't deserve it , at least until they have anti discrimination laws and all that.

They weren't that expense and besides all the tickets to the good and half good events sold out as soon as they went on sale.
