Walking out after you've already paid for your ticket seems a bit silly to me. Don't renew your season ticket or don't go to any games if you're not happy with ticket prices. That would make a real statement (if enough people did it) and directly affect the clubs financially. The owners are probably just laughing at those Liverpool fans who only missed 13 minutes (plus stoppage time) of the game during their feeble attempt at a protest.

This article missed the most interesting part of the story. When the Liverpool fans walked out with 13 minutes remaining, Liverpool were winning 2-0. In the 13 minutes that 10,000 fans were missing from the stadium, Sunderland had pulled back to 2-2!

Football fans don't have the balls to boycott games.Players and clubs get richer.Hard working fans are the losers.Wake up.

Spot on. The club already had their money but I'd give them some credit for at least making a point. I'd like to see full boycotts of a round of fixtures for a start. Stadiums like The Emerites and Stamford Bridge would have the same atmosphere with a boycott but it would send out a stronger message.

Whoa, the American owners of Liverpool actually reversed course and won't be raising ticket prices

lostrune2 beat me to it. Good news but keep fighting to bring the prices down.
