I wasn't really excited about the Olympics coming to the US but now I'm changing my view. Apart of me still wants Brazil to get it but my own national pride thinks it would be good for the US. If President Obama is elected to a second term then this would be a good way to go out. Instead of that sad lonely walk to the helicopter Bush Jr. had when he left office. Towards the end there was no sense of accomplishment or good work, he looked like he couldn't wait to get it over with.

2012 + olympics= London
2016 olympics going to go to?
2020 olympics going to?
India is good choice for 2020.

OLympic = Office Lady Olympics!? I'd watch that.
If international superstar Obama plans to attend, I'd imagine the chances Chicago gets it will skyrocket, despite what Rogge says.

The US presidential terms end in January, not the summertime.

"Japan has invited incoming Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama and Crown Prince Naruhito to attend."
Why aren't they sending Ishihara? He's the big man in charge, after all. :)

I don't care who gets it as long as Tokyo fails. No Olympics in Tokyo. We don't need it! Don't want it! My vote would be for Brazil who could benefit from the attention.

Guess everyone's getting tight with their Olympic bribe money with the economy the way it's been lately.

Maybe some foreigners don't want it to come to Tokyo, but I don't know if the Japanese necessarily agree with that. Quite a few Ive spoken to are excited by the prospect. Admittedly it would cause even more commuter chaos than normal. Anyway, Tokyo is a rank outsider - the bookies have it as 4th best chance.

so that's Tokyo stuffed then.
The IOC findings a couple of weeks ago highlighted the lack of public support in Tokyo being one of the poor points for the Tokyo bid. The foreigners don't care because most of use won't be here in 2016
My vote would be for Rio - have some nerve IOC

Rio - waaaaay too dangerous in my books. A few friends have been and reckon they spent most of the time looking over their shoulder for muggers! Maybe Rio could have it, if they designated a Special Olympic Zone with walls all around and kept the locals out!
Chicago will get it, for better or worse - heck, the Americans usually put on a pretty good show. It will most likely be "Obama's Olympics".
