Good - nothing like seeing Yomiuri get beaten. Except for Hanshin getting beaten.

Hara, WBC manager. Was leading this series 3-2 with games in Tokyo Dome (and winning the final game 2-0) and still lost it. If he can't even win the Japan Series (leading 3 games to 2) then Japan have no chance with him in the WBC. Here is a man who tries to make his own history with his big ego. Here is a man who once got Ogasawara to bunt (yes Ogasawara), who turned Uehara into a closer (because Uehara hinted at leaving for the Major Leagues) and who switched positions for two Tigers pitchers in the Allstar game. Surely Seibu's manager would have got the WBC job if Nippon Baseball had been more patient and more honest with their decision.

Alex Ramirez: Sonna no kankenai... Good for Seibu.

Well done the Lions for keeping their heads so well. Seeing the Giants lose is quite heartwarming, really.

That was a good game. the WBC is going to be a big humiliation for Hara as Nothlondon has pointed out. Hara destroyed Ueharas dreams and career. Now being manager of Japan will ruin Haras dreams and career. The WBC is something Hara cannot buy.

Well, I am too happy to bother explaining!! I can`t believe they won the last 2 in TD, even though they did the same thing 4 years ago vs. Dragons. And both games were high drama endings. Watching Graman mow down the final 6 Giants, especially Rami, was too much tension for me. I think I understand how people die watching sports now))) And to stick it to the Giants made it all the more sweet! Otsukare Lions!

Whilst watching the now compulsory beer shower celebrations on TV last night, I began to grow very tired of this childish game. Hirai Rio was trying very hard to interview one of the man-ape's from Seibu and we watched as this idiot poured a full bottle of beer over her head as she was trying to interview, walked away to fetch another bottle, and then emptied that whole bottle over the poor Hirai who was blinded by the alcohol. The idiot didn't say a word in reply and walked away as though he was the King of Saitama. Do journalists not have a union here ? If she were my employee I would have stopped the programme. Spoilt Japanese corporation man-ape's comes to mind.
