Both the mens and womens teams are doing poorly in this tournament, the women lost to both NK and SK and the men to NK (so far), things are not looking good this time.

The pinks need watering.

Tough luck. The women are out, but we'll see how the men do today.

What is going on with Nadeshiko? They have no clear goal scorer, they seem to lack of confidence and their younger players are not stepping up.
Japan has one of the better women's soccer training grounds in the world, it's really sad to see this happening to them.
As for the J-men, well, you know, they get an A for effort, no one expects much of them anyway.

I love the Japanese female goalie doing her poster penguin goalie stop falling backwards to try to defend a lobed goal against team USA that is a high light for the ages!!!

Heh-heh-heh, seems to a losing streak goins' on for both men/women soccer teams. Japanese couldn't even bag Singapore in Saitama. They even got bagged by N. Korea. But then you'll hear them say- "it was the 2nd string. Japan didn't have Honda / Kagawa . . . etc.
