This is the worst possible news for hockey in Japan. Without this team I fear the whole league and upper level of the sport will collapse. As someone who was involved with the team, followed with other loyal fans I am really depressed about this news. It will be a lonely winter in Tokyo without a hockey team to root for.
Shawn, I think you're confusing hockey with ice hockey. This article is about ice hockey, and who in their wildest dreams would have imagined that Japan had an ice hockey team, let alone an actual league!

i think that it is not going to effect the japanese team because they dont have any supporters anyway. Ice Hockey in Asia sounds strange
