Sharapova is a smart cookie. She shouldn't come to this radiation covered land. We can enjoy her match in high definition from outside Japan.
If she does come to Japan she'll definitely be radiated. Consider it a souvenir. Omiage!!

She's worried about radiation? When I read this I thought she was concerned about the pervy upskirt photographers.

Most human beings are exposed to far more radiation in their daily live and especially from certain medical tests than from dispensed particles. With the current situation now in Japan, there is no personal or public health risks apparent for most people living in Japan except with the 60 km radius of the Fukushima nuclear facility and the transit through the area via the Tohoku Expressway and the Tohoku Shinkansen Railway. So come on down Maria and support us. The golden girl is such a great tennis player and has such intensity and maturity.

1) Japan is not covered in radiation. At least no more or less than any other parcel of land on this wide earth.
2) The word that seems to being eluding you is "irradiated," and not "radiated."
Considering some folks can't even use the correct terminology, it shouldn't come as any surprise that they also ignorantly and incorrectly assume the entirety of Japan has been irradiated.
Sharapova has nothing whatsoever to fear coming to Japan to play. Neither do the other players, spectators, or anyone else thinking of visiting Tokyo for whatever reason.
The time for scare-mongering has long since passed, folks. Let's move on, shall we?
