Wow. SBW is coming to Japan. This guy boxes too. This is like sending a top European soccer star to Japan. SBW... I would do the same. A nice pay day, tons of girls to chase...more than likely some good paying ads/sponsors. It will be great to have you on ads and commercials. Cheers to SBW... so move over AKB, Smap, Darvish etc. etc... I wonder how the public will take his tats? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonny_Bill_Williams

Nice payday for him.

Wouldn't suprise me in the least if SBW tries his hand at K1 as well while he is in Japan.......if the money is right that is.

$100K a match. 1.2 mil for 12.

I wouldn't go that far! Good Rugby and Rugby League player though.

yep had a thought about K1 too.

Yeah he does box but never against anyone any good, i think his last opponent was a sickness beneficiary, doubt he would try K1 coz if he got injured his $100,000 per game would be all over, the guy is a talented player but he is in love with himself very narcissistic.

Come on... He is a young and extremely talented guy who is just doing what is best for himself in a sports career which won't last forever. But he's the guy everyone loves to hate.

He is an amazing talent - the saddest thing is that he has only just now grasped the finer points of rugby - and he is leaving rugby and the world's most famous and successful sports team for a quick money grab in Nippon and a return to "Claytons" Rugby (NRL) in Oz.
My guess he wants a League World Championship to go with all his other medals before returning the to Mighty Black Machine in 2015 for what may be the Sport's first successful World Cup defense.

He certainly makes it hard for his fans in Rugby, League and even Boxing to pin down properly!

Just comes down to what money is on offer.....................elite sportsmen and women cant play basic sports without it!!!!

SBW will be able to do loads of his offloads in Japan. But will there be anyone to keep with him? Maybe not. At least he can offload lots of cash. Still should be fun to watch. Not as fun as with Chiefs / ABs of course.

SBW will be bored in Japan. But for a season and the money, a good move.

What medals would they be? $BW played 4 minutes to collect a winners medal for the Rugby world cup, that's the only one I can think of. Most Kiwis I talk to don't think he will simply stroll back into the team for the 2015 world cup - if he even does move back. And the "Claytons" rugby you talk of (NRL) is the toughest league in the world, $BW spent most of his time injured when he played before. Good player when fit though and obviously he likes the NRL or else he wouldn't bother moving back.
BTW - is there a Mosque nearby the Panasonic company so as $BW can do his worship 3 times a day? Just curious...
