In September, Tazawa refused to be named in Japan’s amateur draft and clarified his intention to go straight to a major league team—the first such move by a top Japanese amateur player.

considering the ridiculous amounts of money japanese professional baseball teams demand of major league teams to simply have the right to negotiate with japanese players; i'm glad to see he was able to eliminate those greedy middlemen.

Now wonder the Japanese Pro leagues are irked! They don't even et the young talent for a few years before reed raises it's ugly head. I wish Tazawa well with the Red Sox (I'm a fan) but there is way too much money being paid out to untested players. It's getting too expensive to go to a game because of all this money goin to payrolls.
