This might be an opportunity for Japan to realize the need for more English speaking attendants, signs, improved bank hours and acceptance of forreign credit cards, and for hotels to cater to foreigners both in price and services.

We have not been influenced by the economic situation

Obviously. You're just oblivious to the world around you.

that means it is very convenient for the athletes, the officials and the spectators

Sorry, but there is NOTHING convenient about Tokyo.

Are these people living in the real world??

Sorry but the 2016 Olympics are reserved for Chicago (I hope). Rio de Janeiro is also a close contender. It is a very tight competition and a lot is at stake for these cities. I think they are all good choices but I am loyal to Chicago.

I hope its either Rio or Chicago. The way the Mayor of Tokyo Ishihara and his cronies are handling the job of preparation has been pathetic at best....
