The Americans are simply head and shoulders above the rest- even Japan. Amazing considering that there are so many other sports for American women to choose from... all of them also at world class levels. I for one watched this on tv here in the US. by and large I was satisfied with the way Japan accepted the loss- at least they didn't fall to their knees and start bawling like their male counterparts do so often. I think it has to do with the number of American players that played in Japan for so many years. Lessons in good sportsmenship seem to have taken root.
