Hmm, this was news on Sunday, why so long in reporting here?

    Sad news, though.

    Takes a while to translate.

Definately disappointing. If he pulls a rabbit out of his cap and does manage a decent place at the end of season, there are going to be a lot of aggro Mariners around.

    It could happen.

who cares? minor league standard of play with a dwindling fan base. MLB is 10 times the quality of play.

National sport of Japan, bub, so get used to it.

MLB is nowhere near 10 times the standard of play. Superior, sure, but not that superior. What matters is the level of competition vs your peers, and the NPB is quite competitive.

The Mets have already started cleaning out their front office. Next stop for Bobby: Citi Field.

Youre right competitive level of your peers is important but why do you want to waste your time watching wannabes or hasbeens, which is again to my point why the fan base is falling.

Yes, Bobby may return to NY. But for sure he is going to coach in the bigs once again. He may have to take a pay cut however from his current huge salary.

National sport of Japan is Sumo, pops

You mean the most rapidly-dwindling fan interest sport of them all? The sport of fakers that has been dominated by foreigners for years? OK, ace.

I wouldn't be too sure. There may be someone in Japan who can convince him to stay, like Yokohama.

Yokohama could probably use some new coaching staff but I am not quite convinced that Bobby would be a good fit. Add to that the price tag which YB may not be able to come up with.
