Neither should they be - Japan has come a long way in recent years and the current team is by far and away the best in Asia. The one thing they really lack still is an absolute world class striker. If they can find one, they will be a formidible opponent to anyone.

Never a bad thing to be confident but the reality is that Japan is an average side at best.

I really like what Zaccheroni has done with this team, and the direction they are going. I have confidence that they will come out strong against both France, and Brazil, to send a message to the rest of the world.
